Cat Fanciers Club „Selçna” was founded in 1999. Different breeds are presented in our club - Persians, Exotics, Maine Coons, American Curls, Turkish Angoras, Bengals, Burmese, British Shorthair, Devon Rex, Siamese, Oriental and others.

Each year „Selçna” organises two international FIFe cat shows. Traditionally they are organised in the second week of June in Cçsis and in the first week of December in Riga. In our shows we have participants from Baltic states, Scandinavia, Russia and other countries.

„Selçna” is a member of Cat Fanciers Club Association „CFCA”, which represents Latvia in FIFe (Federation International Feline) since 1999.

FIFe was founded in 1949 by Mrs Ravel in France. As today, 43 cat federations all over the world are members of FIFe with well over 100 000 individual members. Each year over 3000 cattery names are registered, issued over 110 000 pedigrees, organized over 660 shows with over 200 000 cats participating.
